This hybrid Q & A session aims at giving attendees the opportunity of asking specific pronunciation questions which will be answered and discussed on 17th October. When translators and interpreters enroll in this activity, they should complete the form and leave a query about, for example, the production of a sound, key differences among certain English varieties, the melody of speech, or online tools to improve their pronunciation, among other topics. Requisitos:
— La videoconferencia se podrá ver a través de la aplicación Zoom, que el inscripto deberá descargar en un dispositivo compatible.
— Antes del inicio de la videoconferencia, se enviará un correo electrónico con las instrucciones para el acceso.
— Para el ingreso será obligatorio identificarse en la aplicación Zoom colocando «Apellido, Nombre» del inscripto.

Marisol Hernández:
Marisol is a higher education teacher of English specialising in English Phonetics and Phonology with over fifteen years of experience. She also delivers CPD pronunciation courses for EFL teachers, translators, and interpreters. She usually participates in national and international conferences. In 2023, she was awarded the IATEFL Pronunciation SIG’s Classroom Research Scholarship. Marisol holds a BA in Translation and Interpreting and is currently finishing her MA in English Language. Having completed a four-year vocational course in Professional Acting and having taken numerous courses in different actor training systems, she also works as an actor in fringe theatres and independent projects. She is the author of the book English Pronunciation Through Acting Exercises and Techniques (2024).
